CRAFT & PROCESS
The biggest technical challenge in making a “perfect” tip (ours our never perfect! As they’re hand made) would be that not all colors are the same coefficient (or COE, as we like to call it) so they don’t always melt at the same rate, especially during the polishing process. That’s also why some hole sizes may vary.
We are honored to be a part of a more than century long craft that merges the scientific glass and pipe making world. Changing the way we personally have been doing things for almost a decade.
We wanted to offer new airways that might not have been seen or popular yet in the rolling community. After attending events around the world, we noticed that not everyone rolls the same. Some people like a loose roll, some people more tight and airflow affects that as well. We want people to be able to experiment with different airways and find the one that suits their rolling style best.
Glass tips in general offer a smoother and more flavorful smoking experience. They also affect the burn by helping to give your roll a more even flow by keeping the air circulating while you inhale. In some cases people have even claimed it helps to cool the smoke down, adding to the smoothness of their experience.
DESIGN & PERFORMANCE
Each design is going to affect the amount of air pulled through your roll differently, so is how fine you like your grass. More air should in theory equal larger hits. So we want the most even burn possible, no matter how much air you have coming though your roll! That’s why we try and make all our airways as balanced as possible.
Our tips are for everyone! If you roll on the regular, try us! I bet we make the experience that much better. Once you taste your grass through a glass tip there’s no going back. That’s another reason we offer so many sizes and airways. Smaller sizes for newer rollers that still may need to use a rolling device as opposed to hand roll, or just people that need a quickie after work. To the seasoned vet roller that wants the slow burn and enjoyment of their smoking experience and the connoisseur that wants the full flavor of the cultivar they’ve been hunting. We want to offer a tip for every roller!
ABOUT US
We are a small mom and pop team of two. Located in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, all our tips are made from our love of the art. We saw that tips were an affordable way for people to own “heady” glass art. We wanted to provide the community with not only the most airway options, but most afforadable and collectible pieces of glass art.
@billyboyglass has been honing his craft with production work for more than 10 years, he’s developed various skills in the art of boro as well as quartz work. He loves experimenting with different ways to create the coolest looking glass tips on the market. From colored cores to UV overlays, we want what your smoking out of to pull smooth and be fun to look at while enjoying your roll.
@errlmilio never thought her love of pop culture would play into her art so much. She enjoys seeing people connect with not only the colors but the names she gives them. Our combined love of nostalgia makes for something small that truly speaks to so many.
